Irish set dancing is a form of traditional social dance, where people dance in sets of either two or four couples. Set dancing is a great way to keep active, have a laugh and meet new people. Set to lively Irish tunes, you’re guaranteed to enjoy yourself. Dancers from all age groups, all fitness levels, and all levels of dance experience (including first-timers) are welcomed, and you don’t need to bring a dance partner to join in. All you need is a willing attitude and a comfortable pair of shoes. Shoes with a flat smooth sole are best but runners or ballet flats are also perfectly fine, just avoid sandals, high heels or heavy boots.
